How do I get involved in using my vehicle as a development vehicle?

It is of great benefit if you can send pictures of your car and the engine compartment.

Do to the secret nature of designing products, Ingalls will not be able to allow vehicle owners to show up at our facility with out an appointment. We have received many applications to be part of this program and are sorting through them to find the best fit. The design process can be at times a slow process, so please be patient if you have not heard from us right away.

 

What is involved in using my vehicle as a test vehicle?
Details will be worked out on a per vehicle basis.

Following a basic procedure the vehicle will be needed at Ingalls facility no less 3 different times.

Ingalls will set up a time and date, that works for both you and Ingalls, to bring your vehicle in.

Depending on the type of product needed, the length of time that Ingalls will need the vehicle varies.

 

The first visit to Ingalls is for taking measurements, pictures and working with design ideas. In some cases mock-ups will be created.


The next visit is to install a prototype and modify the prototype if necessary.

If problems arise another visit for this step may be necessary.

In most cases the prototype will NOT be left in the vehicle at this time.
 

A final visit will be to test fit an actual production part.

At this point the product will be left in the vehicle for your use.

 


What do I get for letting Ingalls use my vehicle?
Compensation will be no less than receiving an actual production part designed for your vehicle.

Ingalls will also perform at least 1 complete 4 wheel alignment.
